I am naming this gorgeous santoku "Calm in the Middle of the Storm" It was hand forged here in Colorado Springs by Matt Waters of Waters Forge. This talented blade smith has competed on History Channel's epic show Forged In Fire.
The damascus carbon steel blade is forged from 1095 and 15N20 and 80CRV2 steels and features a bold plug weld. The knife also features an integral damascus bolster. The handle is carved from a pretty piece of South African Rooibos wood.
This razor sharp knife definitely qualifies as functional art.
